B. N. Girls’ P. G. College - Events & Activities
 
For the multifaceted development of the students many extra-curricular activities are organized. It is compulsory for every student that along with her general subjects she should align herself with at least one extra curricular activity. For this she should mention at least one extra - curricular activity of her interest in her admission form.
Activities available in college are:
 
  • National Cadet Corps (NCC) Army, Air, & Naval
  • National Service Scheme (NSS)
  • Rangering
  • National Student Organization (NSO)
  • Games & Sports
  • Literary Activities (English-Hindi)
  • Cultural Activities
  • Fine Arts activities
 
Note: There are plenty of facilities available for sports by the Co-operation of B.N. College of Physical Education and Sports Authority of India.
 

According to the rules of college every student should be a member of NCC/NSS/NSO/Sports/Cultural and Literary activities. Only following students are exempted from becoming the member of these activities :

  • If the age is more than 26 yrs.
  • If she is in job (this fact is only acceptable if service certificate is also deposited along with her enrolment).
  • If her nationality is from Bhutan or if she is a foreigner.
  • If she is physically handicapped.
 
National Cadet Corps (NCC)
75% attendance is compulsory in parade. It is compulsory to attend one camp at the order of the unit commander. Extra parades will not be held after 15th February. Cadet should obey all the rules and regulations. Dress kit should be issued and deposited on the fixed dates. Fine will be charged if there is any delay on the part of the students in depositing the kit and their admission card shall be withheld. If the student leaves the college during mid-session and if she has not deposited the kit then unit may take the help of police authority to take the double charge and the kit from the student.
 
 
National Service Scheme (NSS)
It is an alternative activity of NCC and NSO. This activity has been included keeping in view the role of the students in the development of the nation. It includes Physical labour, rural camps and through the medium of such varied activities, its main objective is to develop the importance of physical labour and instill the sense of  national service in the students.
 
Rangering
This activity shall be conducted regularly. But rangering is a separate activity and not an alternative of NCC, NSO & NSS.
