CHEMISTRY: After economic liberalization, the demand for various types of chemicals, materials etc. has increased, Thus the jobs for chemist are multifarious viz. all type of analysis work, research & development of new chemicals, biochemical drugs, dyes, cosmetics, soaps, detergents, adhesives, insecticides, pesticides, rubbers, fibers, plastics, resins and a variety of other things required for domestic and industrial purposes, the preparation and bulk synthesis of above things, the Quality Control testing during their manufacturing. Therefore the scope of this Subject is very wide with respect to job opportunities. |

BIOTECHNOLOGY: A fusion between biology and technology, Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary pursuit with multidisciplinary application by the integrated use of Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Cell & Molecular biology and Engineering Sciences Humans are the ultimate beneficiaries of biotechnology through its approach in Medical and Health Science (Diagnostics, Vaccines, Therapeutics), Agricultural Science (Improved crop yield, food quality, fertilizers), Environmental Sciences (Pollution control, bioremediation, environmental monitoring) and in Transgenic plants, animals, in-vitro cultures and by the use of Recombinant DNA Technology. Biotechnology has become a comprehensive scientific venture from the point of academic and commercial angles. |

BOTANY : Botany means study of plants or the study of nature, after completing B.Sc. students can joint different courses related to Biological Sciences e.g. Lab technicians, Pathological Laboratories, Bio informatics etc. After getting M.Sc. one can join the Indian Forest Services (FS), Research Labs in Tissue Culture, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Agriculture Department, Botanical Gardens and National Herbaria and National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR) Delhi for conservation of germ plasma. |
